Another one of the 80s throwbacks is making its way to the big screen. Battleship, the popular board game from Hasbro is headed to the big screen next May. It is directed by Peter Berg (who directed Hancock) and stars Taylor Kitsch, BrooklynDecker, Alexander Skarsgard, LiamNeeson and Rihanna (yes, Rihanna). Check out the trailer below, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies.
Sidenote: It would’ve been nice to see Rihanna in the trailer…
Action star Bruce Willis may be the next big name to join the cast of G.I. Joe 2:Retailiation. Willis, the star of the Die Action franchise, is in talks to play the original Joe, General Joe Colton. If Willis does indeed agree to star in the sequel, he would be joining stars Channing Tatum, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the RZA, among others. I think the addition of Willis would greatly legitimize the chances of the sequel becoming a hit. Do you agree? Click the pic to enlarge.

Marvel made the tough decision to completely reboot the Spider–Man franchise in the wake of 2007’s super successful Spider–Man3, and judging by the new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man, it actually looks like they made the right decision. AndrewGarfield, best known for his breakout role as Eduardo Saverin in The Social Network, will play Peter Parker/Spidey. Emma Stone, from SuperBad and Easy A, plays Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans plays Dr. Connors, who becomes the Lizard, Spidey’s main foe in the film. Click the pic to enlarge.
In this exciting new trailer, we actually get to see Peter’s parents, who leave him with his uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and aunt May (Sally Field). We also get the see more of Peter’s relationship with Gwen, which wasn’t really explored much in the previous trilogy (also, there are no signs of Mary Jane in the trailer). This version of Spider-Man looks more realistic and gritty and has a Batman Begins feel to it. The Amazing Spider-Man is set for a July 3, 2012 release. Check out the trailer below.

If you managed to see Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 this weekend (and according to box office estimates, a lot of you did), you probably got to see a teaser trailer for one of the most anticipated movies of 2012, The Dark Knight Rises. The trailer doesn’t reveal too much, but it did manage to get the hype for the finale of Christopher Nolan‘s Batman trilogy kicked off. Click the picture to enlarge.
In the trailer, a montage of scenes are shown from Batman Begins in which Ra’s al Ghul says, “If you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, then you become something else entirely, a legend, Mr. Wayne, a legend.” We then see Commissioner Gordon, who is hospitalized, who appears to be talking to Batman(who is offscreen), saying, “The Batman must come back.” Then, we quickly get a glimpse of Bane who is approaching Batman, who looks to be a little nervous. According to IMDB, the official Dark Knight rises trailer will be available July 18. I’ll post the link as soon as it becomes available. [SOURCE]
