In a very surprising verdict, Casey Anthony was found not guilty in the death of her daughter, Caylee Anthony. Prosecutors in the case were unable to establish how Caylee Anthony was killed , nor were they able to find Casey Anthony’s DNA on the duct tape that was allegedly used to suffocate Caylee. In the end, the lack of evidence doomed the persecution, who was able to prove that Casey was a liar, but nothing else. Click the pic to enlarge.
Was justice served?
Where do you think the persecution went wrong? Do you think Anthony’s lawyer, Jose Baez, did that good of a job planting doubt in the juror’s minds or the persecution simply blundered this case?

Minnesota congresswoman and 2012 Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann continues to give the media and late night talk show hosts material. But not the good kind. Recently, she said, “John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa. That’s the kind of spirit I have, too.” That’s fine and all except the John Wayne from Waterloo was the serial killer John Wayne Gacy. When given the chance to clarify her comments, she refused. I wonder what was going through the minds of the GOP heads when they saw the interview. Click the cartoon to enlarge.
What's the difference? Actor...serial killer...they're all the same right?
But, then again, maybe she does have the spirit of that John Wayne. SMH.

An Illinois jury convicted former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich on several corruption charges, including attempting to sell President Obama‘s vacated Senate seat. The verdict came following a retrial after the first trail ended with a deadlocked jury. Blagojevich, who served two terms , became the second straight Illinois governor to be convicted on corruption charges. Experts are saying Blagojevich is likely to be sentenced to 10-15 years. All this for trying to "sell" a chair...smh

Yesterday, real estate billionaire and possible 2012 presidential candidate Donald Trump did something no one was able to do- get President Barack Obama to show his birth certificate. Although many felt it was unneccessary, President Obama went ahead and released his official birth certificate in an effort to end the “silliness” about his birth that threatened to distract from the serious issues facing the country.Trump also questioned how Obama could have possibly attended an Ivy League school…..Sigh, here we go again… Honestly, I think Trump is simply taking advantage of the attention and free publicity/advertising; what do you think? are the distractions all apart of Donald Trump's master plan?
Maybe now, Trump and the other ‘birthers” can focus on the real issues like gas, the economy and war…. but I’m pretty sure they won’t.

Prices for a gallon of regular unleaded gas are topping $4 at more service stations nationwide, with no sign of a cap in sight. With Memorial Day and the normally busy summer travel season coming, gas prices could reach record highs. The government’s Energy Information Administration on Monday put the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline slightly higher at $3.79, up 10.7 cents from the previous week and nearly a dollar higher than the same time last year. Economists are predicting that industries that depend on travel revenue, like recreation and hotel businesses, could feel the pinch over the Memorial Day weekend and during the summer. There appears to be no ceiling for gas prices
How high do you think gas prices will go?
