In the latest NBA 2K12 commercial, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and rapper Drake debate who the all-time best team in the NBA is. Drake, apparently the #1 stan for the Miami Heat, boasts that the Heat are the best and will take multiple titles. Cuban counters by showing off the spoils of the 2011 NBA Finals. Rihanna and Liam Neeson will star in the big screen version of Battleship....
Another one of the 80s throwbacks is making its way to the big screen. Battleship, the popular board game from Hasbro is headed to the big screen next May. It is directed by Peter Berg (who directed Hancock) and stars Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker, Alexander Skarsgard, Liam Neeson and Rihanna (yes, Rihanna). Action star Bruce Willis may be the next big name to join the cast of G.I. Joe 2:Retailiation. Willis, the star of the Die Action franchise, is in talks to play the original Joe, General Joe Colton. If Willis does indeed agree to star in the sequel, he would be joining stars Channing Tatum, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the RZA, among others. Today, President Obama celebrates the big 5-0! One of the youngest presidents ever elected to office, Obama’s presidency has seen its share of highs (getting bin laden) and lows(the lingering effects of the great recession).
