Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour is back in the national spotlight. And once again, it’s for a very controversial and polarizing issue. Barbour, who may run for President in 2012 as a Republican, declined to denounce a plan by The Sons of the Confederate Veterans to honor Nathan Bedford Forrest, the founder of the KKK, on state license plates. When asked why he didn’t condemn this proposal, Barbour replied, ” I don’t go around denouncing people.” He also said the license plate is unlikely to be approved by Mississippi legislators. I’m all for freedom of speech and everything, but if the proposal is approved, i can only see trouble. I wonder what Mississippi native David Banner has to say about this. What do you guys think?
