Government Shutdown Looms
The standoff in Washington between Republicans and Democrats is one day away from its deadline and if the parties can’t agree on a spending plan by the end of Friday, the government will start to shut down Saturday. That means national parks, operations like the Smithsonian and even the IRS will close (that means you will have to wait even longer to get a refund check). Mail will continue to run and federal courts will remain open (short term anyway). The bad news is some economists say a shutdown could drag the economy back into a recession “very quickly.” Just what we need right? Click the image to enlarge.
Lets all pray that the politicians in Washington agree on a spending plan before the close of business tomorrow.
