Tiger Woods Fires Longtime Caddie
Whenever Tiger Woods makes his triumphant return back to the top of Golf’s elite, at least one person won’t be there by his side. Steve Williams, Tiger’s caddie for the previous twelve years was fired today, leaving the New Zealander stunned and ending a partnership that included over 70 victories and 13 majors. “I want to express my deepest gratitude to Stevie for all his help, but I think it’s time for a change,” Woods said on his website. “Stevie is an outstanding caddie and a friend and has been instrumental in many of my accomplishments. I wish him great success in the future.” Click the pic to enlarge.
Woods did not say who would replace Williams, nor did he say when he return to golf. Williams served as Tiger’s second professional caddie, following Mike “Fluff” Cowan. Tiger has missed the last two Majors due to knee injuries. [SOURCE]
