The Butler(s) did it again

Stop me if you’ve heard this before… underdog mid major knocks off a highly touted powerhouse from a major conference to advance to the Final Four. Sounds like 2010 right? Butler University, the darlings of the 2010 NCAA Tournament who were a rim-out from upsetting Duke in last years title game, stormed back to upset SEC Champion Florida in Overtime 74-71. Shelvin Mack scored 27 for the Bulldogs, who rallied from an 11- point deficit to reach their second straight Final Four. Next up, Butler will face either Kansas or VCU. Click the image to enlarge.

Butler Head Coach has the Butler Bulldogs back in the Final Four

Butler has won 13 straight and is the first school from outside the six power conferences to reach consecutive Final Fours. How long do you think Brad Stevens, the architect of Butler’s emergence, will remain at the school? I have a strong feeling the big schools will come calling soon, especially if Stevens can coach the Bulldogs to a title.
