Remembering Kurt Cobain
17 years ago today, Kurt Cobain, the lead singer and guitarist of the popular grunge band Nirvana, died of from a self inflicted gunshot wound in his Seattle home. Following the success of Nirvana’s second album, Nevermind, Nirvana was called “the flagship band” of Generation X, and Cobain was hailed as “the spokesman of a generation”. He was only 27.
