Lakers Get Stung in Game 1

Disclaimer: If you’re a LA Lakers fan, I’ll understand if you don’t read this post. If you’re not a Lakers fan, this should be music to your ears/eyes.

The LA Lakers opened their title defense yesterday by being thoroughly thrashed by the younger and obviously hungrier New Orleans Hornets 109-100. It marked the first time a Phil Jackson coached team lost a first round opener. Chris Paul led the Hornets with 33 points, 14 assists, 7 rebounds and 4 steals and was flawless down the stretch. Kobe Bryant led LA with 34 points, but gave fans a scare when he crashed into a courtside seat headfirst. He shook the collision off, but the Lakers as a team never did. Game 2 is set for Wednesday night.Click the image to enlarge.

With Orlando, San Antonio and LA all losing Game 1s at home, who do you think is in trouble the most?
