Knicks get 42 from ‘Melo, still Fall to Celtics

In a very intriguing NBA First Round Playoff Series, the New York Knicks are giving the defending Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics all they can handle. If it weren’t for a little “Celtic luck”, the Knicks would be headed back to MSG up 2-0. Kevin Garnett hit the go-ahead basket with 14 seconds left for Boston, who withstood a 42 point, 17 rebound, 6 assist. 2 blk performance from Carmelo Anthony– who played the second half without teammate Amar’e Stoudamire (back spasms). The Knicks have led most of both games, but fallen just short at the end, losing by 2 in Game 1 (87-85) and by 3 (96-93) last night. Click the image to enlarge.

Melo scores 42, but it wasn't enough as Celtics take Game 2 96-93

Can the Knicks regroup at home and take Game 3?
