ABC Pulls the Plug on 2 Long Running Soaps

Here’s some sad news for soap opera fans… ABC has announced that it is canceling All My Children and One Life to Live, which were two of the longer running soap operas on tv. All My Children will end this September and One Life to Live in January 2012; they will be replaced by “The Chew“, a show on all things food-related, and “The Revolution“, a daily show about health and lifestyle transformations.All My Children premiered on the ABC Television Network on January 5, 1970, as a half-hour show; seven years later it expanded to an hour.One Life to Live debuted on The ABC Television Network July 15, 1968 as a half-hour show; ten years later, it grew to a full hour in 1978.
