2011 NBA Draft

Last night, the Cleveland Cavaliers made one-and-done Duke star Kyrie Irving the number one overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. Arizona star Derrick Williams was selected second by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Brandon Knight, the athletic point guard slipped all the way to #8 (Detroit Pistons), Kemba Walker went ninth (Charlotte Bobcats) and the Milwaukee Bucks took Jimmer Fredette, the college player of the year, with the tenth pick. Three of the top six picks taken in this year’s draft were international. My early prediction for NBA Rookie of the Year is Brandon Knight; I think he’s going to be very motivated by slipping several spots in the draft. Click the image to enlarge.

Brandon Knight's fall all the way to the eight pick was one of the many surprises in this year's NBA Draft
